The FAAA Pro Bono Program: A program designed to unite FAAA members with individuals and families facing financial hardship
Through our Pro Bono Program, the FAAA is proud to connect its members with opportunities to deliver pro bono advice and make a significant difference to the lives of Australians in need.
Volunteering your expertise provides members with an opportunity to give back to their community, reducing stress and the burden on those experiencing financial hardship. Donating your time can be an extremely rewarding experience and we actively encourage you to get involved and join a trusted network of passionate professionals.
Established in 2014, the Pro Bono Financial Advice Network (PFAN) is an independent network that connects advisers with clients who are living with a serious illness and/or disability.
PFAN works with multiple industry referral partners, including FAAA, to support a range of charities including MS Australia, Motor Neurone Disease and Pancare. Through PFAN, advisers commit to taking on one (or more) pro bono financial advice cases a year to make a life changing difference for individuals who need access to financial advice but can't afford it.
LOOKING FOR PRO BONO ADVICE?
If you find yourself in need of financial assistance and counselling, the FAAA recommends connecting with Financial Counselling Australia (FCA).
The FCA is the peak body for financial counsellors in Australia and assists people from all walks of life who may find themselves with money problems. Financial counsellors are non-judgmental, qualified professionals who provide information, support and advocacy to people in financial difficulty. Working in community organisations, their services are free, independent and confidential. Contact the FCA.
