• Phil Anderson, GM Policy, Advocacy & Standards, FAAA: Phil will provide an update on the key policy and advocacy issues affecting the advice profession, including DBFO reforms, AML/CTF changes, the CSLR, and the implications of the Shield and First Guardian collapses.
• Marshall Ross, Partner Education Manager, Acenda: Marshall will cover off on business insurance including buy / sell and key man, including working case studies
• Orla Cowan, General Manager, Investment Governance, Insignia Financial: Compliance issues including; ASIC’s tightening stance on small licensees running managed accounts or MDAs, the fallout from First Guardian & Shield, shifting super‑trustee rules that may increasingly diverge from platform investment menus, and heightened due‑diligence expectations for assets
• Sam Janssen, Lawyer (Associate level) & General Manager, Estate First Lawyers: Sam will provide a practical session exploring how to manage estate planning issues with clients who may be losing capacity.
• Stuart Riddle, Co-Founder, Claras.AI: Stuart’s presentation will show you how to incorporate AI into your practices, increasing efficiency and improving the client experience.
